Q Sherpa RoMeo data in PubLists seem to differ from the RoMeo database?
A I believe the software developers generate the RoMeo colours based on their own algorithm, this may explain the discrepancy. I'll check though and let you know the outcome
Q To ease workload with regard to verification, is there an easy way to identify records that have been created manually?
A Might be possible to identify those that have been collected automatically if the original source of the data is identified in the QMRO record. Will investigate
Q&A from today's meeting:
ReplyDeleteQ Are metadata records being automatically updated in QMRO when changes are made to PubLists?
A They should be, but there have been problems with this, SM to check with IT Services whether this has now been fixed
Q Should non-displaying data be added even though it is being copied across?
ReplyDeleteA No, once the DSpace/Repository Tools configurations have been fixed the data should display properly
Q Should DOIs be added to records?
ReplyDeleteA DOIs are useful for finding published versions so yes, if the DOI is easily sourced then please add to PubLists
Q Will email notification templates be available soon?
ReplyDeleteA Yes, thanks for the reminder, I'll sort these out asap

Q Could we make a case for just uploading whatever we are given by academics and letting them deal with any problems around copyright?
ReplyDeleteA We could, and some institutions do this already. There is increased risk to the institution as well as the academic though
Q Is there an agreed convention for naming of files in QMRO?
ReplyDeleteA No, but we should agree one, suggested convention:
SURNAMEWordWordWordYearVersion.filetype
Q Should we perhaps try to encourage deposit of one specific version that we know will be acceptable on most cases? E.G. Postprint?
ReplyDeleteA Yes, we could, and this would help to speed up approval to QMRO. Will investigate

ReplyDeleteA Might be possible to identify those that have been collected automatically if the original source of the data is identified in the QMRO record. Will investigate
Q Is the priority PubLists verification or QMRO approval?
ReplyDeleteA Essentially it's both, but we need to get a suitable corpus of content into QMRO so focus on this initially.
